That game is a masterpiece for me! There are some struggles; first of all - it's a really hard game, but I guess it's up to developer. I also would like to get more choices about my next character, after previous one dies - I enjoyed playing with spear gladiator the most I think - despite him having really bad armor (I don't think it is a good idea to bother upgrading armor for spear warrior).
Small issue (which I don't mind at all) is the fact, enemies don't have any capability to dodge traps. But on the other hand they have 2 potions later on; they can be lucky and block most of your hits, so it's good that they have some flaws.

It brings a "conquest" mode (I love it) It is pixel art, has good graphics and is well combined with 3D. Excellent gameplay, easy to learn controls, and the gore is moderate but enjoyable. The only thing I have to complain about this game is that "Spartan Wars" lacks some content, I would make it longer and add more stories (personally it's what I've played the most so far) If I had to give it a score, it would be 9.5/10. It is the best game I have tried in my life, it just needs to add more replayability in terms of campaigns or linear stories.

How is it hard? I cleared the career's boss after a while by using secret names and the equipment stealing. Spartacus' War is pretty simple but does sometimes take a bit of practice in knowing which units are the ones that are harder to defeat and stuff. Arcade is literally just endless. The game isn't that hard.
This game really draws you in, its a good balance of fast paced silly madness and actually needing to play strategically if you don't want your gladiators to somehow get their head cut off by a mace wielding mad man in much nicer armor then you.
